7 Top Things To Do As A Tourist In Dubai

orange and steel

Dubai, a city that seems to exist in a realm of its own, blends a futuristic skyline with a rich cultural heritage and offers tourists a beautiful mix of modern luxury and traditional charm. My journey through Dubai was a whirlwind of incredible experiences, but seven things stood out as the highlights of my trip. From the towering skyscrapers to the sandy beaches and cultural attractions, here are the top 7 things I did as a tourist in Dubai:

Burj Khalifa

You must have heard of the world’s tallest building. Forget the pictures and the tales, this skyscraper is magnificent, and it is a wonderful sight to behold.  The panoramic view from the observation deck left me in awe.

The tower is located next to the Dubai Mall. Dubai, from this vantage point, felt like a city of dreams. It’s a memory I’ll cherish, and I’m grateful for the chance to touch the sky in the heart of Dubai.

Global Village

The Global Village is divided into pavilions, each representing a different country or region.

I felt like I was visiting a myriad of countries in a single evening. Each pavilion was a portal into a different culture – from handicrafts to culinary delights, it was a sensory explosion.

There were moments when I’d savour rich Italian gelato, only to find myself surrounded by the rhythmic beats of an African drum circle a few steps away. Global Village captured the essence of Dubai’s cosmopolitan character, where the world truly comes together. It is the ideal tourist destination.

JBR Beach: Sun, Sand, and Sea

At JBR Beach, I found a peaceful getaway from the busy city. The soft sand and views made me feel instantly relaxed. The beach is really big, so there’s plenty of space to just chill.

I sat on the beach, taking pictures and capturing the stunning sea views and beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf. The water was clear and looked so good that I had to go for a swim.

If you’re into more fun stuff, they’ve got water sports and places to eat by the water. It’s like a perfect beach playground.

Miracle Garden

Walking into Dubai’s Miracle Garden felt like stepping into a storybook. It’s a massive garden, and it’s filled with an incredible number of blooming flowers, all arranged in stunning patterns and shapes. As I strolled through this flowery wonderland, I was completely amazed by the beauty and how they made these fantastic floral designs. There were tall flower sculptures, heart-shaped arches, and even paths covered in petals. It’s like a magical place that leaves you feeling super happy and amazed.

Dubai Desert Safari

What’s a vacation in Dubai without a tour of its notable desert? Personally, I wasn’t going to visit the city of remarkable sand dunes, camels and Arabian mystique without a visit to the desert, so I made sure to enjoy an exciting tour of the desert. During the tour I rode a camel, partook in desert quad rides on dunes (you should have seen me feeling like an action movie heroine), night entertainment, and lots more.

Dubai Marina Boat Cruise

The boat cruise at Dubai Marina was one of my best experiences during the trip. I enjoy the views of the city’s skyscrapers, including the iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel. We spent time dancing to good music, taking pictures and just enjoying the view as we cruised along the marina.

There are a variety of boat cruises available in the Dubai Marina, ranging from short sightseeing tours to longer and more luxurious experiences. Some cruises offer options such as dining or sightseeing, while others are more focused on relaxation and leisure.

Overall, a boat cruise in the Dubai Marina is a fun way to see the city’s skyline and waterfront, and it is a great activity for people of all ages. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing sightseeing tour or a more luxurious experience, there is a boat cruise in the Dubai Marina that is suitable for you.

Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain

As a tourist in Dubai, the mall and fountain were a must-visit for me. The mall is like a mini-city all on its own. I mean, it’s HUGE! You can spend hours wandering through it, and still won’t see everything. There are shops, restaurants, and so much more. The architecture and design are just incredible.

Now, let me get to the Dubai Fountain – it’s right outside the mall. I can’t even describe how amazing it is. When I saw it for the first time, I was just left in awe. The way the water dances to the music is just beautiful. It’s like the water has a rhythm of its own, and the lights at night make it even more breathtaking. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. So, if you ever find yourself in Dubai, don’t miss these two. The mall is a shopper’s paradise, and the fountain show is a sight you’ll remember forever.

Siddharta Lounge

We had dinner at Siddharta Lounge. A trendy, upscale lounge located in the Grosvenor House Hotel in Dubai. It exudes luxury and sophistication.

I was impressed by the extensive menu of cocktails, wines, champagnes and tapas-style dishes. I tried different sushi rolls and other delicacies, and everything was delicious.

In addition to the food and drink, I also really enjoyed the live music and DJ performances that took place throughout the evening. It was the perfect way to add some energy and excitement to the night.

If you’re planning a trip to Dubai and are looking for a chic and upscale lounge experience, Siddharta Lounge is definitely worth checking out.

Overall, my holiday in Dubai was an unforgettable experience that I will always treasure. Whether you’re interested in shopping, sightseeing, or just relaxing on the beach, Dubai has something for everyone. I can’t wait to go back someday and see all the new and exciting things this city has to offer. If you’re planning a trip to Dubai, I highly recommend it – you won’t be disappointed!
