I hope it’s not too late to say Happy New Year! It feels good to be back here writing and sharing my thoughts with you and, of course, reading your comments and learning from you. Oh! how I miss that.
A new year often comes with expectations—big resolutions, fresh energy, and ambitious plans. But for me, this year started differently. I didn’t step into January with a grand strategy or an overwhelming drive to conquer the year. Instead, I entered just as I was, ready to take things one day at a time.
Yet, as the days unfolded, I found myself craving something deeper. So, I intentionally stepped away from the noise for most of January, spent time in solitude, and reconnected with myself and with God. That period of stillness brought me clarity, and I came out feeling lighter, relieved of the weight I unknowingly carried into the new year. It made me realise just how powerful solitude can be, and this year, I’ve decided to embrace it even more.

Planning Alone Times To Find Clarity
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of doing and achieving. But how often do we pause to just be? And that is why this year, I’m making solitude a priority. Whether it’s planning a solo trip, taking personal retreats, or simply spending more time in quiet reflection, I want to create space for growth, clarity, and self-discovery.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just in need of a reset, I encourage you to do the same. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, even setting aside intentional moments of stillness in your day can make a difference. Clarity comes in quiet moments, and sometimes, we need to step away from the world to truly hear ourselves.
Deepening My Relationship with God
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my time in solitude was connecting with God. In the stillness, I found peace, reassurance, and direction. It reminded me that no matter how unpredictable life can be, there’s comfort in knowing that God is always present, guiding us through every season.
If strengthening your faith is something you’ve been wanting to do, consider dedicating more time to prayer, meditation, and reading the scriptures. Sometimes, all it takes is being still and listening. The more we lean into that divine presence, the more centred we become.

Living in the Present While Waiting for the Future
Many of us enter a new year with expectations—things we hope will happen, goals we want to achieve, and dreams we’re waiting to see come true. But in the waiting, it’s easy to overlook the beauty of the present.
This year, I’m choosing to embrace where I am while trusting that everything good will come in its time. I encourage you to do the same. Celebrate your small wins, enjoy the simple moments, and remain grateful for all you have right now. The journey is just as important as the destination.
Fully Back and Ready to Share
After spending the past few weeks in reflection, I’m excited to be back and fully present here on the blog! I have so much to share, and I look forward to taking you along on this journey of growth, discovery, and intentional living. Expect more content, practical tips, and heartfelt reflections in the coming weeks.
As we navigate this year together, let’s remember to stay focused, be kind to ourselves, and strive to be better versions of who we were yesterday. In the long run, everything good will come.
What’s one thing you’re prioritising this year? Let me know in the comments!
